Christmas Joy in Spite of Mortgage Woes

Merry Christmas and all of the appropriate expressions of happiness, joy and respite. I extend my greetings today, though I would gladly share them any day.

For 24 hours, let's not discuss mortgage fraud, scams, criminal minds, misleading lenders, pending foreclosures, resetting interest rates, ARMs, or any other points of disaster or potential disaster.

Perhaps these few hours of gratitude for what we do have, for our neighbors, our families, food on the table…will give us a boost when facing the future and making appropriate decisions. We looked out our windows this morning and said thanks for the view, and for several joys we enumerated. Soon we will share that with neighbors coming over for a Christmas brunch of cranberry-apple french toast and the fixings.
