OK, this isn't about mortgages or paying off your home years sooner, like most of this site, but I had to snag some real estate to share this amazing video about education in the United States today as compared to other countries.

Read The World Is FlatIf you haven't read The World Is Flat, by Thomas Friedman, you must. You absolutely need to keep up-to-date on the place of the United States in the world of jobs, wealth, and technology. You may be surprised by Friedman's assessment of technological accessibility in the United States of America.

The Great Mortgage Revolt @ 7:35 am:

Hi Glen, Thanks for checking it out. I just tested the link and it seems to work here, but I need to double check with you the path you followed. If you click "Order" in the menu at the top of this page, then "Proceed" near the bottom of the next page, then "Click Here to Order" at the bottom of the next page, it all works. Now. Perhaps there was a glitch last night when you were tried it.

The "Let your Mortgage Make You Rich!" manual is $97. It covers all the early mortgage payoff techniques in an easy-to-compare and follow manner–including cycling your income and expenses through a HELOC (a technique some people charge $1800-$10,000 for, the most popular being $3500.)

This latter technique is the one I used for two years before writing the manual, during which time I cut $70,000 off my mortgage–not counting regular payments. It is totally fun to do!
